There is a challenge website called "A Day Not Wasted" that publishes photos for challenges. This was taken in Central Park. I felt like I was there while painting it. Glad I'm not there now-I would probably be frozen.

This painting is the other half of the painting I did with Laurel Daniel's class on Bull Creek.
I loved painting these beauties. I used a pallette knife for the flowers.
Several years ago four friends and I started painting. I began with still lifes but soon found that plein air painting was what I enjoy the most. I have been lucky to be able to study under Elizabeth Locke, Mary Watkins and Laurel Daniel and attend workshops by Anne Templeton, Jill Carver, Virginia Vaughn, Gordan Folwer and Ian Roberts. I reside in Austin, Texas with my husband and biggest fan David. He always encourages me and keeps me going. We travel quite a bit so I have beautiful spots to paint in or photograph for studio painting. Being an interior decorator by trade, I have always been aware of the beauty around me. I love color and it shows in my paintings. All paintings are for sale but the pricing does not include framing or shipping unless stated otherwise. Please email me at paulark@austin.rr.com if you would like to purchase a painting.
